Today, we dive into the story of Arsia Sasha. A story of introspection, personal growth, and leap of faith.

Early Days

Arsia’s story begins in Oakland, California. Growing up surrounded by people from diverse backgrounds, Arsia’s early life was shaped by various perspectives of those around him. It was in this environment that he first developed a unique lens through which he would view the world.

In high school, Arsia took on a direct sales job with Cutco Cutlery. It was here that he first discovered the value of personal development. The role not only honed his sales skills but also had a lasting impact, instilling in him a commitment to hard work and continuous self-improvement.

Fast forward a few years, Arsia graduated from UC Davis. He joined the start-up world, landing a role at JoyRun, a food delivery app where he was responsible for launching new markets across the United States. Over the next five years, Arsia would not only grow with the company but also sharpen his skills as a business operator. In 2020, JoyRun was acquired by Walmart.

Arsia began to feel the creeping shadow of burnout. The relentless pace, the seven-day workweeks, were taking their toll. The acquisition by Walmart provided a much-needed change of pace, but the thrill was gone. Arsia knew he needed more than just a new job - he needed a new direction.

New Direction

The pandemic hit, and like many, Arsia found himself with time to reflect. It was during this period of introspection that he returned to the personal development practices that had once fueled his drive. Mornings became a time for reading, learning Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, and diving deep into his thoughts.

Arsia began to explore alternative career paths, focusing on the possibilities of the online business world. He experimented with different business ideas, trying to find one that resonated with him. From SEO and web design to various other ventures, he was deep into the “zero to one” phase, which is arguably the hardest part of starting a business. It wasn’t until he landed on copywriting, that he found the business he was genuinely excited about. He realized that with the growth of brands on Instagram and TikTok, there’s a need for strong, persuasive writing. He started practicing and learning through courses to build that skill set further. Since then, he has been working with e-commerce brands, helping them with copywriting.

He then made one of the biggest decisions of his life, leaving his well-paying job to pursue his business full-time. The thought of leaving a job with great pay and benefits for something that wasn’t proven itself was scary. But he knew his soul wasn’t into the 9-5 anymore. He looked at his life, job, and where he was headed and realized it wasn’t getting him closer to the life he envisioned for himself.

I said to myself, I’m going to trust my gut and figure it out. Eventually gave myself a deadline, put one foot in front of the other, and the rest is history.

New Voice

As Arsia built his business, he also discovered a new outlet for his thoughts - a TikTok channel. What he once considered his greatest weakness, the tendency to overthink and overanalyze, became his greatest strength. Through his channel, Arsia shares his perspectives on life, business, and the pursuit of happiness, hoping to inspire others who might be struggling with the same challenges.

He realized that most people, regardless of their background, share common goals: to be wealthy, healthy, and surrounded by meaningful relationships. What differs is the path each person takes to get there. Through his videos, Arsia offers insights and strategies that have helped him navigate the complexities of life, with the hope that they might help someone else in their journey.

Fun Fact: Arsia is also a secret DJ. He’s been known to crash parties (uninvited) and drop some serious beats. I guess, who knows?

Well, that’s it for today, folks.

But Arsia’s journey doesn’t end here.

This is just the beginning. Follow the rest of his journey on his Instagram and TikTok. If you’d like to get philosophical nuggets sent to your email inbox, then sign up to his newsletter.
